Bali's many white sand beaches, beautiful sunsets, tropical jungles, and temples make it a great place for couples to spend time together.
With so many sandy beaches to choose from, it can be tough to decide which one to visit. From the rugged east coast to the surf spots in the west and the idyllic beaches in the south, there's something for every couple, whether they want adventure or relaxation.
Whether you're dreaming of swimming in emerald coves, walking on the shore, or having a romantic sunset cocktail at a beachfront bar, Bali has it all.
Why is Bali so popular for couples?
Bali is a popular place for couples to go on a holiday together because it has beautiful beaches, romantic sunsets, and gorgeous places to stay. The many beaches, lush rainforest, and terraced rice paddies make it an ideal spot for a romantic escape, with plenty of cultural attractions and delicious Balinese cuisine to enjoy. Bali's beaches are great for sunbathing, swimming, and sailing, and you can also have romantic picnics and toasts at sunset. Overall, Bali provides the perfect setting for couples looking for a romantic getaway.
What makes a beach location a good choice for a couple?
With their beautiful shorelines, breathtaking sunsets, and quiet spots, Bali's beaches are the perfect place for a romantic getaway for two. Important things to think about are the size and beauty of the beach, its orientation for sunrise and sunset, the types of activities available, and whether the beach is crowded with children.
Should couples stay at the beach for their entire holiday or combine it with a stay in Bali's inland, like Ubud, Sideman, or North Bali?
Bali is a great choice for a romantic getaway with its stunning beaches, relaxing atmosphere, and beautiful sunsets. Couples can spend their entire holiday on the beach, but mixing in some inland exploration can make the experience richer. While Nusa Dua, Uluwatu, and the west coast offer fantastic hotels and beach activities, exploring inland areas like Ubud, Sideman, and North Bali can add variety and adventure to the trip. The number one group of visitors to Ubud, for example, are couples, and most combine their visit with a stay at the beach.
Should couples consider staying at East Bali or North Bali Beaches? Are they worth the extra travel distance and time?
Most couples will probably choose a south Bali beach for their holiday. That is where all the action is, and there are many great beaches to choose from. If you like large resorts, a choice of top-end restaurants, and funky bars, the southern Bali beaches will be perfect for you.
On the other hand, some couples like the idea of seclusion and privacy and are looking for a more authentic cultural encounter. That is where the more remote East and North Bali beaches are perfect. The travel time is longer, but once you get there, you will find fewer crowds and a more authentic paradise. But it does not have to be an either/or question—why not consider splitting your time between a beach resort location and a more secluded beach and have the best of both experiences?
